Since just about everyone enjoys a good wine, wine gift baskets have become an increasingly popular choice for special occasion giving. The giving of wine dates back to the Bronze Age in the Old World when fine Italian grapes were picked on royal land to produce fine wines that were sent to foreign nations and presented to other rulers as a gift. The tradition of giving a bottle of wine to celebrate any occasion is always welcomed.Giving a wine gift certificate is another way to go because it allows the recipient to select the wine they would like. It's easy, and they appreciate you for it. However, it does seem a bit impersonal...as if you didn't care enough to take the time to find out which wines they prefer.A wine gift basket makes an even better choice. This is one of better gifts you can give someone on any special occasion or celebration. These are an especially great gift idea for the boss or other corporate personnel. They are an elegant surprise and such a joy to give and receive. These trendy presents are a real popular way to show somebody you really care without going overboard on cost. A wine gift basket can be filled with a dozen small bottles of a favorite vintage. Or, it might be a wide variety that allows the recipient to sample a new wine every month.

Gift baskets are an especially wonderful gift for a wine enthusiast. They are welcomed in every home and the added gifts make them even more thrilling to receive. Wine gift baskets are usually given on very special occasions; such as weddings, birthdays, parties, festivals, or anniversaries, and are sold in a wide variety of types, including classic red, chardonnay, California Red, and merlot. These great gifts are always appreciated by all. Imagine how impressed your new client will be upon finding a beautiful basket waiting in their hotel room.Wine gift baskets are available with white wines and blushes also. They are usually an especially big hit at parties as the assorted items allows everyone to share the gift by enjoying the wine and other delicious tidbits such as cheeses and chocolates. Once you start sending wine gifts like these to a few people, you will get a reputation for giving unique and thoughtful gifts.Did you know that the average American enjoys more than 2 gallons of wine every year? This quantity has gradually increased over the last few years with the advent of the Internet. The Internet has made sending wine gift baskets extremely simple and there are a wide variety of sites to choose from. Not just the wine, but also the accessories. You can usually add extras like jewelry, elegant photo frames, monogrammed coffee mugs, and much more. Add the recipients name or initials for a gift they will always treasure. Unique Christmas Gift Ideas

With everybody else in the world planning to give gifts this holiday season, it can be really frustrating to find something that is really original and unique. In fact, during holidays, it is not surprising for people to find themselves receiving two identical gifts. That happens. If you really want to stand out or at least make your gift stand out from the rest, here are some unique Christmas gift ideas that can help you.1. PhotographWhat can be more unique than a special photograph that will help remind your loved one of a special moment or occasion. The photograph may be of a place that you both love or some place where you both want to go. It can be something that is reminiscent of a time that you spent together. It may also be a picture of you together or a picture that you have taken when you are together. The possibilities are endless. To jazz it up a bit, you can put the photo inside a photo album or a picture frame. It would even be more memorable if you can make or design a page off the photoalbum or better yet make one yourself.

2. Song or PoemIf you have the gift of words, you can put your gift into writing by making a personalized poem or song. This is a great way to show your loved ones how much you love them. You can have the poem or the song engraved in poster complete with drawings. You can have it made in shops that make wedding invitations and art posters. If your song has music, you can actually perform the song and give the cd as a gift. You can even use personal photographs to design the “album cover” and put the lyrics inside just like an honest-to-goodness CD.3. PaintingA picture can convey a lot of things, emotions, special moments together, a special place, a particular memory. If you are talented with paints, you can capture all those things on canvas. If you are not much into canvas, you can also do postcard size paintings that you can frame. You can type or write your dedication at the back much like what you do with greeting cards. Paintings are wonderful gifts because not only is it personalized but it is also something that one can hang on walls or display in the house. By Low Jeremy

The Perfect Holiday Gift A Christmas Gift Basket! ©

Go ahead, you can admit it. It’s okay. We’ve all got one. All of us have somebody on our gift list that we dread buying a gift for. Well, not the buying so much, it’s more the shopping we don’t look forward to. Why are we buying a gift for someone we dread shopping for? That person is usually a friend or family member or co-worker that we care about a great deal. But we dread shopping for them because either A- they’re hard to buy for or B-they have EVERYTHING! I found the perfect solution, and I’ll tell you what it is in just a minute. First a little background.I suppose it’s only fair I confess I actually have two people on my list that I dread buying for every year at holiday time; my in-laws. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great people and I love them dearly. But they’ve been married 42 years so they’ve already been given nearly everything under the sun, and they invested well in their early years, so what they aren’t given, they buy for themselves. I’m happy their life is so comfortable, but it sure does make it hard to think of what to give them for Christmas. All that changed a couple of years ago. I found the perfect gift for them and didn’t have to leave my living room to do it! I don’t know why it hadn’t occurred to me before then, but that year I gave them each a Christmas gift basket and guess what? They LOVED them! A friend told me about a website that specialized in unique gift baskets. When I got home, I went to the link that’s listed below, figuring I’d find a bunch of fruit baskets and little else. Boy was I wrong. I was able to order a golf basket for my father-in-law and a gardening basket for my mother-in-law.

BAM! Two gifts knocked off my list in only a few minutes! I was hooked from that moment on.Last year was a ‘Christmas Gift Basket’ year. I gave gift baskets to nearly EVERYBODY! And they were all hits with the recipients. I may never wrap another gift as long as I live. And I won’t have to as long as websites exist like the one I listed below. No fighting the holiday traffic or crowds at the mall. No standing in long lines. No worrying about what size or what color or does he already have one. Gift baskets can be customized to anyone’s hobby, profession or passion. They can be personalized with a name or favorite color. They’re appropriate for any age of either gender. With online ordering, they can be shipped directly to the recipient. A Christmas gift basket keeps on giving, even after the contents are gone. Frankly, I can’t think of a more perfect gift, not only at Christmas, but for every occasion, all year long. This year, I’m hoping somebody will give ME a Christmas gift basket! The holidays can be a stressful time. You can decrease the amount of stress in your holidays by choosing to give Christmas gift baskets. Click on the link below and finish your holiday shopping before most people even get started! Rock Climbing - Christmas Gift Ideas

We all know someone who’s idea of a good time is hanging off cliffs. If you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas for a rock climbing enthusiast, here’s some unique rock climbing gift ideas.Rock Climbing Gift IdeasYou can always tell a rock climber by their appearance. White chalk fingers, bleeding knuckles, bent fingers and…a grin a mile wide. Whether they are climbing in indoor climbing gyms or hanging off Half Dome in Yosemite, rock climbers are very receptive to rock climbing gifts. Here are a few gift ideas that will make you a favorite with them.1. Rock Climbing Gym – Most metropolitan areas now have rock climbing gyms. These gyms are typically indoor areas where rock climbers can work on their techniques. Walls come in a variety of terrains and with differing holds. Membership costs range all over the place, but climbers will love the gift. This is a particular good rock climbing gift idea for people living in big cities and who can’t head off for an afternoon of knuckle crunching.2. Climb International DVD – The Climb International DVD is a highly recommended financial planning tool for rock climbers. Why? Well, the DVD contains climbs from exotic locations such as Thailand and China. After watching the DVD, the average rock climber will suddenly start saving every penny from their paycheck, rolling nickels and generally being as cheap as possible. The goal? To save enough money to travel to these locations for a personal rock climbing adventure. The DVD can be a bit hard to find. Search for it by name on any search engine and you should be able to find it. Expect to pay roughly $20 for this mouth watering movie.

3. Build Your Own Indoor Climbing Wall – You have to be very careful when giving this gift. This book gives step by step instructions on how to build an indoor climbing wall. This, of course, requires one to have a space in which to build said climbing wall. Basements and garages are typical locations, much to the chagrin of spouses. Personally, I wouldn’t put my name on the “from” section of the gift card. You can expect to pay $10 or so for this evil little book.4. Climbing Holds – Climbing holds are plaster molds that are put on a climbing wall. They come in all kinds of vicious shapes, which are perfect for bending fingers in truly unnatural positions. If you know someone who has built a climbing wall in their garage or house, this is a perfect gift. Since each climbing hold is more or less unique, just pick the ones that grab your fancy. They come in a wide range of prices, so it is often best to shop by what you can afford. Helpful Tip: Look closely at the holds. If you can’t imagine how a hand would possible hold onto a particular hold, that is the one to buy!5. Nomad Rock Climbing Journals - A little self-promotion. Nomad Rock Climbing Journals are great gifts for rock climbers. These writing journals allow climbers to keep track of their climbs, impressions, people the climbed with, routes and any additional information they feel necessary. Over time, the climbing journals become a history of climbs and a great keepsake. A great Christmas gift, you can see the rock climbing journals by clicking the link in the byline of this article and expect to pay $25 for the journal with case.As you know, there is simply no way to keep a climber from climbing. You might as well give in and give them a Christmas climbing gift. By Richard Chapo

How To Make Gift Baskets - 3 Christmas Gift Basket Ideas

It is fun making Christmas gift baskets for your dearest friends, or for those you want to impress. You know what they like and can tailor the gift baskets to meet their tastes.1. Food gift basketsYou know the usual gift baskets. Food, wine and all that jazz.Well, a fruit basket filled with fruit harvested from your garden would be wonderful... if the seasons permit it. If not, if you made jams and preserves from harvested fruit, these would be wonderful in the gift basket.* Get a wicker basket.* Put a huge box of biscuits you baked yourself at the bottom of the basket.* Arrange colorful bottles of jam on top of that box, with a bottle of wine in the center.* Use a clear adhesive tape to hold everything in place.* Then wrap the entire basket and its contents with cellophane paper. * Tie a ribbon around the wine bottle for the finishing touch.2. Makeover gift basketKnow of a plain jane you would like to makeover into a lovely swan? Drag her to the mall and get her to try out various dresses until you find one she looks amazing in. Buy that for her.

Drag her to the makeup counter for one makeover after another and when you find a look she looks fabulous in, and buy the makeup used to create that look.Cart her to the shoe shop and pick a pair of high heels that fit her and which go with the outfit. If she still lets you live, put the shoes, dress and makeup in a basket and wrap it with cellophane. No doubt it wouldn't be a surprise, but that would probably be the gift that she would remember more than anything else. She might be embarassed when you get her to use that gift at a party, but I'm sure she'd be pleased whether or not she shows it.3. Jewelry gift basket.Your gift basket need not really be in a basket. You could even use those compartmentalized boxes for fish bait for this jewelry gift basket.Get a collection of earrings you know she would like. Costume jewelry would be wonderful. Cubic Zirconia earrings and jewelry are very affordable. You might even put in a necklace or two and other jewels that fit into these compartments.Once every compartment is filled, decorate the box by gluing color paper on the lid and letting your artistic talent loose as you write a message on it using metallic ink.Wrap it up and give her this treasure chest for Christmas.Besides these gift baskets, you can make a gift basket according to the hobbies of the recipient. If he loves golf, take a golf bag and fill it with golf balls, golf t-shirt, and golf related items. If she travels often, fill a compact box with travel sized mini lipsticks, mascara, makeup, skincare and the like.If he loves snowboarding, fold and pile some snowboarding clothes on top of a brand new snowboard, using the snowboard as the gift basket. How it looks depends on your creativity. Can you make it look like a Christmas tree?If your gift baskets don't turn out well, or you don't have the time, consider the professionally made ones from the resource below. By: Janice Tham

Creative Christmas Gift Ideas

In less than 4 four months, Christmas will be here again so people will be giving gifts and wishing each other happy holidays. It is sometimes hard thinking about what to get especially if the loved one has almost everything that money can buy.Instead of getting something from a store that is done every year, the person can try something different like giving something more personal which the receiver will get to appreciate more. Here are some ideas that will surely make the act of gift giving merry this year.1. The first will be to buy a plain shirt and then add some print on it. The individual can buy the design from a specialty store and then use silkscreen and paint to finish it.2. Another idea will be to have a bath towel monogrammed with the person’s initials. This is something that the individual cannot do alone but a specialist can do it at a reasonable price.3. If the person loves to cook or bake, this talent can be used and given to friends as a gift. After all, this is the season to be jolly to make brownies, food for the Gods and other pastries. The individual will just have to have to buy boxes so these can be placed inside once it comes out of the oven.

4. The individual can also host a Christmas party at home. Those in the neighborhood and people at work can be invited to be able to enjoy the dishes and pastries prepared for this special occasion.5. Some stores offer a coupon book that is given for free after purchasing a certain amount. Since this is the season of giving, the individual can make the same thing and offer it to friends and family.6. For those in the neighborhood, the person can organize the people to go caroling and spread the Christmas cheer.7. If the person doesn’t want to spend and just give it to people in need, there is always setting up a fund to buy food and clothing for those who live in the shelter. This idea may be different but those who don’t have much also deserve to have a merry Christmas.A coupon could contain things such as a simple hug or a free ride instead of letting the loved one commute or drive to work. The ideas mentioned just show that people can enjoy the Christmas season without spending too much.
